Dan Coulthard Chief Executive Officer
Dan Coulthard is the Chief Executive Officer of SafetyFirst. He is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance while establishing long-range goals to maintain SafetyFirst as a leader in the driver and fleet safety industry. Dan joined SafetyFirst in February 2000 and became part of the Executive Management Team as Chief Operating Officer in 2005. Following his promotion to Chief Executive Officer in 2015, his focus has been on improving operational efficiency, driving business growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction. He spearheaded efforts to incorporate cutting-edge telematics products and services into SafetyFirst’s suite of driver and fleet safety solutions. In addition to expanding SafetyFirst’s offerings, Dan and the management team have successfully partnered with—and provided services to—over 70 insurance providers. Dan holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
Sanjiv “Sonny” Singh Chief Financial and Operating Officer
Sanjiv “Sonny” Singh is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of SafetyFirst. Sonny is well-versed in many aspects of operations, including finance, accounting, business development, client relationships, internal control setup, team building, and management. Since joining SafetyFirst in 2015, he has leveraged his extensive experience to oversee all operational and financial aspects of the company. In his role as CFO, he is responsible for the company’s financial health, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the business’s profitability and sustainability. As COO, Sonny ensures that the company’s safety programs and service provisioning are streamlined to maximize efficiency and compliance, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Sonny earned an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.
Bob Krueger Vice President of Client Relations
Bob Krueger is the Vice President of Client Relations at SafetyFirst. He is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. With 20 years of experience in the fleet safety industry and a passion for customer service, Bob plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every client receives exceptional service and solutions tailored to their unique needs. He oversees all aspects of client engagement, from onboarding and consultation to ongoing support and account management. His focus on delivering top-notch service and helping clients navigate the complexities of fleet safety programs with confidence has helped SafetyFirst position itself as an industry stalwart. Passionate about helping clients optimize their fleet safety initiatives while reducing risk and improving operational efficiency, Bob is driven by the belief that strong, trusted relationships are the foundation of long-term success.
Linda Hulbert Director of Strategic Alliances
Linda Hulbert is the Director of Strategic Alliances at SafetyFirst. She has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between driver and fleet safety technology and the commercial automotive insurance industry. With a deep understanding of risk management, telematics, and data-driven safety solutions, she develops and nurtures strategic partnerships with insurance carriers, brokers, and industry stakeholders to drive innovative, cost-effective solutions for fleet operators. Bringing over 20 years of experience in customer service and satisfaction, Linda specializes in leveraging safety data and predictive analytics to align insurance offerings with best-in-class fleet management practices. Her expertise helps insurers and fleets work collaboratively to reduce risk, lower claims costs, and enhance overall road safety. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations and Human Resources from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Jian Wang Director of Information Technology
Jian Wang is the Director of Information Technology at SafetyFirst. As one of the company’s original founders, Jian designed and implemented almost all of SafetyFirst’s proprietary software and databases. Currently, he coordinates all system design and programming while staying on top of emerging technologies to enhance the fleet management and safety standards of our customers. His expertise—in conjunction with the support of a trusted and dedicated contractor—enables SafetyFirst to respond to client requests promptly and provide customized reporting as needed. Additionally, Jian oversees custom technical projects—aligning them with the company’s business strategy—while planning for the implementation of next-generation technologies. Jian holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and CISSP certification from The City College of New York, CUNY.
